2024 KTM Duke 390 vs Old Model Race

In essence, the new model looks slightly bulkier than the old model. Apart from that, he lists out a few differences in the components and engine. But in the final section of the video, they perform a brief rolling acceleration race of the two bikes on a highway. As soon as the riders pull the accelerator lever, the bikes stay head to head. Even after some distance, there is nothing to choose between the two. Hence, it could be inferred that the performance remains as strong as ever despite the modified engine.

Specs Comparison
The 2024 390 Duke comes with an updated 398.7-cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine, delivering enhanced performance with 44.8 hp and 39 Nm of maximum power and torque. This model features a 6-speed manual transmission, which represents a minor improvement in comparison to the previous 373-cc single-cylinder engine. The latter generated 43.5 hp and 37 Nm of power and torque. The engine boasts an 89 mm bore and a 64 mm stroke. The new model retails for Rs 3.11 lakh, ex-showroom.

Mechanical Components
Regarding its mechanical elements, the 2024 390 Duke showcases prominent attributes, which include a 43 mm WP Apex front fork suspension offering both compression and rebound adjustability, providing a generous 150 mm of travel. In the rear, there’s a monoshock suspension with 5-step rebound and preload adjustability, also offering 150 mm of travel. Furthermore, the front tyre now incorporates a 320 mm disc, while the rear tyre has a 240 mm disc. Dual-channel ABS is a standard feature throughout the entire range. These enhancements collectively bolster the bike’s versatility for diverse riding conditions. The bike’s weight stands at 165 kg, and the seat height is 820 mm.
