The electric version of the 2024 Hyundai Creta was spotted testing. Creta is the most successful SUV in our country in the ICE version. Wanting to leverage its popularity, the Korean carmaker will launch the electric variant of the mid-size soon. In fact, there will also be an N-Line version of the Creta. This makes it clear that Hyundai wants to cater to all sorts of potential buyers who have the opportunity to own the Creta in any version. EVs are gaining traction in India. Therefore, the Creta could persuade buyers to go electric.

2024 Hyundai Creta Electric
These images surface courtesy of koreancarblog on Instagram. One could see the EV under a heavy camouflage. Still, it becomes clear that this is the same design theme that the existing Creta facelift model bears. There are LED DLRs and LED headlamps at the front connected via sleek elements. In fact, the headlamps are positioned on the bumper which are barely visible. Also, the parts of the bumper look sporty. These spy images also showcase the rear profile. It contains LED-connected taillamps, shark fin antenna, roof rails and elegant dual-tone alloy wheels. All in all, the electric version of the Creta won’t be aesthetically all that different from the existing ICE variant.

Specs
There are multiple reports floating around on the internet about the powertrain options for the Creta EV. Some suggest that it could borrow the powertrain from the Kona in the international market. Others say that it would be a new battery pack. In any case, we expect it to carry a 45 kWh battery pack from LC Chem. This will power the electric motor to produce 138 hp and 255 Nm of peak power and torque. More details will surface closer to the launch.
