The images seen here are slightly enhanced versions of the teasers rolled out by Tata Motors. In one of the teasers (seen below), we get a clear look at the front profile of the vehicle. It showcases a larger grille with subtle inserts for a modern touch. Notably, there’s an LED strip spanning the width of the bonnet, seamlessly merging into LED DRLs that also serve as turn indicators. Additional features include a front camera for a 360-degree surround view, primary headlamp clusters placed at the bumper’s extreme edges (a common modern design element), and a rugged bumper. Combining insights from this teaser and other spy videos, it’s likely that the new Safari will boast a connected LED taillamp setup at the rear, making it an impressive offering. At the rear, the SUV gets new taillamps with a LED lighting bar running between them.
We know from the previously seen spy media that the interior of the upcoming 2023 Tata Safari gets a new steering wheel with digital illumination, similar to what we’ve seen in the Nexon. There’s also a digital instrument cluster, a free-floating infotainment display, new aircon vents, and yellow color scheme for the upholstery. These elements combine to provide a fresh and modern cabin environment. While the overall cabin design maintains some familiarity with the current model, it does include subtle updates.

Specs
The current model is powered by a 2.0-liter turbo diesel engine. It delivers 170 PS and 350 Nm of torque, with the choice of manual or automatic transmission. This powertrain is expected to continue with the facelift. However, there are indications that the upcoming model may get a 1.5-liter turbo petrol engine option. This motor will be capable of producing 170 PS and 280 Nm. Moreover, there are reports of potential inclusion of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) safety technology, a popular feature of the Mahindra XUV700. Currently, the ex-showroom price for the existing model ranges from Rs 15.65 lakh to Rs 25.02 lakh. Safely expect a slight premium over these prices for the 2023 Tata Safari facelift.
