Tata Motors will unveil the 2023 Tata Harrier facelift and the Safari facelift at 8 PM, October 10. It may be noted here that bookings for both the new SUVs are already underway. Both of these SUVs have been in news ever since their test mules were first spotted many months ago. While the duo has been fairly popular, the carmaker has bestowed upon the flagships a handful of changes to help them stay competitive in this segment. Spy videos had been circulating for a while, but now, the SUVs are finally here and will soon go on sale. You can reserve either of these vehicles for a nominal deposit of Rs 25,000.

2023 Tata Harrier vs Safari Facelift
Tata Motors has made efforts to give each of these SUVs its unique identity, even though they share the same platform. Up front, the Harrier sports a dual grille section separated by a horizontal black panel featuring stylish inserts, a continuous LED DRL bar, a robust skid plate, and vertically oriented bi-projector LED headlamps integrated into the bumper. On the flip side, the Safari shares these elements but with subtle distinctions. Notably, it features a radiator grille with graphic inserts above the bumper, while the lower section adopts a sportier skid plate with a black grille element. Furthermore, the alloy wheel designs also exhibit variations.

New Interior and Features
The interiors of these SUVs boast a modern and tech-savvy design. Tata Motors offers an interesting feature – depending on the trim level you choose, you can customize the upholstery, cabin, and dashboard with various color combinations. This results in numerous fresh elements, including a textured dashboard, a spacious 12.3-inch digital infotainment system, a customizable 10.25-inch driver’s instrument cluster, wireless charging, drive and terrain modes, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), a 360-degree camera, a premium 10-speaker JBL sound system, a 6-seat configuration in the Safari, a powered tailgate, ventilated front seats with memory function, navigation, and more. In essence, the top-tier variants of both these SUVs offer a wide range of modern amenities.

2023 Tata Safari and Harrier Specifications and Rivals
Both the Harrier and Safari retain the powertrains of their previous models. As a result, these SUVs still come equipped with the renowned 2.0-liter Kryotec turbo diesel engine, delivering a robust 170 PS of power and 350 Nm of peak torque. You have the option to pair this engine with either a 6-speed manual or a torque converter automatic transmission, along with terrain response and drive modes for added versatility. It’s worth mentioning that there may be a turbo petrol engine option in the future, but pricing details will be revealed at the launch. In the market, the Harrier and Safari face competition from rivals like the Mahindra XUV700, MG Hector, Hector Plus, Hyundai Alcazar, and Jeep Compass.
