Set to debut later today, the 2023 MG Hector will come with a host of changes that would work together to bring it back into limelight. The second facelift for the mid-size SUV will bring in an updated styling package along with reworked cabin. As already revealed by the carmaker, the highlight of the interior is the industry-first 14-inch touchscreen infotainment unit that takes the centre-stage on the dashboard. The specifications seem to have been left untouched.

2023 MG Hector – What’s New?
It’s expected that the exterior features a new styling package. The front-end is likely to feature a new grille that would give the Hector a new identity. Up front, there should even be a new bumper with sleeker look. Several spy images suggest that even the rear-end will be updated.
As is the case with such mid-life facelifts, the interior of the Hector could get a handful of changes. As disclosed the carmaker earlier, the dashboard would hold a tablet-style 14-inch touchscreen infotainment unit that is the largest on any car on sale in the country. Other features, such as a panoramic sunroof, wireless smartphone charger, connected car technology and voice commands, will be retained from the existing model

Specs
The engine options for the 2023 MG Hector are likely to stay the same as the current model. These include a Fiat-sourced 2.0-litre oil-burner and a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol. The latter is available with DCT and CVT options but the diesel motor is available only with a 6-speed manual unit. The petrol mill offers 143 PS and 250 Nm, while the diesel engine produces 170 hp and 350 Nm. Currently, prices of the MG Hector start at Rs 14.15 lakh and go up to Rs 20.11 lakh, ex-showroom. Given that the new model would co-exist with the pre-facelift, it could command a hefty premium of over a lakh.
