2023 MG Astor Facelift – What to Expect?
The updated model is likely to borrow features from the company’s popular models like Hector. In the teasers, MG Motors is calling the Astor the “most advanced SUV in its class”. In line with this, the facelift is expected to feature a handful of segment-first features that could give it a clear edge over the competition.
As per reports, the 2023 MG Astor facelift won’t feature significant cosmetic updates. However, the handful of minor revisions should be enough to spruce up the looks. The interior, though, will receive some major changes. These includes a new instrument cluster, an electric hatch-door, intelligent turn signals, an auto lock/unlock function, and ambient lighting. Additionally, the five-seater SUV is highly likely to get an XL-size 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system from the Hector. The updated touchscreen display will support wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. It will also run on a new OS and have a refreshed interface. More details of the updated version are likely to emerge soon.

What We Think
The MG Astor has been a decent option for the tech-savvy car buyers in the market for a sufficiently spacious, comfortable and powerful mid-size SUV. Bits like ADAS and connected car technology has helped the ZS-based offering hold an edge over most of the rivals. However, with the updated version of Kia Seltos and Hyundai Creta almost knocking at our doorsteps, the advent of the refreshed Astor should help it maintain its popularity. So, basically, the revised styling and the additional features will ensure the Astor continues to enjoy its current set of strengths over immediate competition.
