A new walkaround video details the top-spec 2023 Maruti WagonR ZXI+ Black Edition special model inside and out
The Maruti WagonR is one of the most common cars on Indian roads. Now, the company has released a new Black Edition of the hatchback. It has already reached authorized Maruti Suzuki dealerships. Several shots of the car have surfaced online. Now, a YouTube channel has released a walkaround video of the top-spec 2023 Maruti Suzuki WagonR ZXI+ Black Edition variant. Let’s take a closer look!

No Interior Changes on Maruti WagonR Black Edition
The video above shows that the 2023 Maruti Suzuki WagonR Black Edition gets a Midnight Black paint scheme. However, there are no changes on the inside. It gets a dual-tone black and beige theme as the standard version. The top-spec variant comes with 14-inch black alloy wheels, front fog lamps, and a rear wiper/ washer. Additional features include a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, steering-mounted audio and Bluetooth controls, a tachometer, and remote central locking.
The 2023 Maruti Suzuki WagonR Black Edition is powered by a 1.2-liter four-cylinder petrol engine. For transmission, it comes with 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT gearbox options. The 1.2-liter K12C Dualjet petrol engine offers 90 PS of peak power and 113 Nm of max torque. The WagonR Black Edition comes in two variants – ZXI and ZXI+. The standard WagonR also comes in LXI and VXI variants which get a smaller 1.0-liter petrol engine.

Black Editions of Alto K10, S-Presso and Celerio Also Available
Maruti Suzuki has introduced the Black Edition versions of almost all its cars, including the Swift, the Brezza, and the Ertiga. Even entry-level models like Alto K10, S-Presso, and Celerio get Black Editions in their higher-spec variants. The Maruti Suzuki WagonR is still one of the biggest cars in its segments. It competes with the likes of Tata Tiago and Maruti Suzuki Celerio. While Hyundai has discontinued Santro due to declining sales, Maruti Suzuki is updating the WagonR with RDE-compliant engines.
