Kia India has been relishing the massive success it has achieved in our hard-to-crack market in just 4 years of operations.
The 2023 facelift version of the Kia Seltos will boast the inclusion of some key new features to woo customers away from its highest-selling mid-size SUV cousin, the Hyundai Creta. Kia will launch the facelift Seltos on July 4, 2023. Now, Seltos is the SUV that started it all for the Korean auto giant in our market back in 2019. Having tasted massive success, the follow-up products in the form of Sonet, Carnival and Carens further cemented its place among the best foreign carmakers in the country. Now, that same Seltos is about to receive an upgrade with the aim of keeping the product fresh and the customers excited.

5 New Features on 2023 Kia Seltos
Panoramic Sunroof
Yes, the new Seltos will get the large Panoramic Sunroof, which has, sort of, become a trend in the SUVs in this segment. The competitors like the Creta, Grand Vitara, Hyryder and Astor already get the larger sunroof, whereas the Taigun and Kushaq get the regular units. In fact, to keep the customers happy, the large sunroof could be offered from the mid-level trims.
ADAS
Yet another feature that is becoming trendy in this segment lately is ADAS. Advanced Driving Assistance System enhances the active safety of a car by intervening during emergency situations where the driver might not be able to react quickly enough. At the moment, only the MG Astor has Level 2 ADAS in this segment. Now, the new Seltos will have it too.

1.5-litre Turbo Petrol Engine
We saw the introduction of this driver-enthusiast powertrain on the recently launched Hyundai Verna. Hyundai is the parent company of Kia and their cars share the engines, gearboxes and platforms. Hence, the new Seltos will also get the 1.5-litre turbo petrol new engine that develops 160 PS and 253 Nm of peak power and torque. Apart from that, the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol and the 1.5-litre turbo diesel mills will most likely be continued.
New Digital Instrument Cluster
Then we might also see the new digital instrument cluster on the new Seltos. This is more in line with the latest design pattern from the Hyundai Group. It will enhance the overall feel of the dashboard in conjunction with the large infotainment display. Note that the Seltos already has the heads-up display.

Premium Interior and Upholstery
Finally, this won’t be just a minor aesthetic update from the outside. The interior components and layout are bound to be revamped too. This includes a new AC vent pattern, options of premium upholstery, multiple colour patterns and the use of soft-touch materials, etc. Therefore, it would be fair to say that the new Seltos would command a slight premium over the existing model because of all these updates.
