Here is the first video of the 2023 Hyundai Verna where the acceleration test is being conducted. Verna is set to push the envelope a even further with its modern tech features, exotic exterior and new powertrain options. 2023 Hyundai Verna Acceleration Test
The video has been created by the YouTuber Ayush Verma. He has the non-turbo variant with him with an automatic transmission. In the first part of the video, he shows the interior and features of the new Verna. This includes things like the connected infotainment and driver’s digital instrument panel, steering-mounted controls, ADAS features, connectivity capabilities, plenty of charging ports, comfortable seats, a premium audio system and more.

However, the main aim of this video is to test how quick this non-turbo petrol trim can accelerate. He puts the Verna in Sports Mode which is the most aggressive setting. In this mode, the responses are quick and the engine-gearbox combination works the best. The YouTuber is able to get a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 11.8 secs. This is quite impressive and we certainly think that the more powerful turbo version would be even quicker.

Under the hood sit two engines – a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol and a new 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine belting out 115 PS / 144 Nm and 160 PS / 253 Nm of peak power and torque respectively. There are options of a 6-speed manual and a CVT automatic transmission with the former and a 6-speed manual and a sporty DCT automatic with the latter. The prices of the new Verna range from Rs 10.90 lakh to Rs 17.38 lakh, ex-showroom. Its chief rivals include the Honda City, VW Virtus and Skoda Slavia.
