Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL), a pioneer in smart mobility solutions and India’s highest car exporter, has introduced the new 2023 Hyundai i20 facelift. This vehicle features styling enhancements, and a handful of new features, including best-in-segment-safety equipment. Prices start at Rs 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

Hyundai i20 Facelift Exterior and Interior Changes
The aesthetics of the new i20 are governed by the carmaker’s latest design theme. In line with this, it gets new LED headlamps with L-shaped LED DRLs. It even features front and rear bumpers for a bolder look. The new units look pretty sporty with well-pronounced creases and more aerodynamic look. Another notable update up front is the new grille. In the side profile, the car features new 16-inch alloy wheels. Colour options for the new Hyundai i20 facelift include – Amazon Grey (New), Atlas White, Titan Gray, Typhoon Silver, Starry Night, Fiery Red, Atlas White + Black Roof, and Fiery Red + Black Roof.
Inside, the 2023 i20 has dual-tone grey-black interior panels with ambient lighting for a rich ambiance. Equipment such as the BOSE audio setup with 7 speakers, 10.25-inch infotainment unit, and the Creta-sourced D-cut steering wheel have been retained. The cabin even offers leatherette seats, leatherette door armrests and Sounds of Nature ambient sound playback. Other equipment includes an electric sunroof, connected car technology, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and automatic climate control. Speaking of the connected car technology, the new i20 offers over 60 connected car features, 127 Embedded VR commands, 52 Hinglish voice commands, Over-the-Air updates, Multilanguage UI support accommodating 10 Regional and 2 International languages.

2023 Hyundai i20 Safety
Akin to the Exter, the new i20 2023 offers best-in-class safety features. In fact, it comes with 26 Standard safety features including 6 Airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Hill Assist Control (HAC), Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), Antilock Braking System (ABS), and Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD). The top-spec version comes with more than 40 safety features like the Burglar alarm, Emergency stop signal, rear parking camera, Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) Highline, headlamp escort function and Automatic headlamps, the Hyundai i20 sets a new standard for safety in the premium hatchback segment.

New Hyundai i20 Facelift Specs and Price
Under the hood, the Hyundai i20 retains the 1.2-litre Kappa petrol engine. Transmission choices include a 5-speed Manual and CVT (IVT in carmaker’s speak). A significant update here comes in the form of the Idle Stop & Go (ISG) feature that is sure to boost the car’s fuel efficiency in the urban environment. Prices of the new model range from Rs 6.99 lakh to Rs 11.01 lakh (ex-showroom). The new car is available with a 3 Years/100,000 Km warranty.
