Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has unveiled the MY2023 Alcazar with significant updates. The new model features the new 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine that will be available on the all-new Verna. The new car is now available for booking. Interested customers can reserve the new car at authorized Signature Hyundai dealerships across the country. You can also book the 2023 Hyundai Alcazar online via the ‘click to buy’ option. Hyundai Alcazar Gets a Nip and Tuck Treatment
The 2023 Hyundai Alcazar even comes with several cosmetic updates. The front fascia gets a redesigned front grille. The stop-and-go feature has been made a standard fitment. Additionally, the puddle lamp logo has now been upgraded to feature the Alcazar emblem. For safety, the company has added six airbags across the range. The three-row SUV will be available in both six and seven-seater configurations. To comply with the Indian government’s mission of cleaner mobility solutions, the new 1.5 Turbo GDi petrol powertrain is both RDE-compliant and E20 fuel ready.

New Petrol Engine Replaces 2.0-litre NA Unit Shared with Tucson
The all-new car is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine that offers a maximum power output of 160PS (at 5,500 rpm) and 253Nm of peak torque (at 1,500 to 3,500 rpm). It is paired with a six-speed manual transmission and an optional seven-speed dual-clutch automatic unit. When paired with a DCT, the 2023 Hyundai Alcazar is touted to offer a fuel efficiency of 18kmpl. On the other hand, the manual variant is said to have an ARAI-certified fuel economy of 17.5kmpl. The new turbo-petrol mill replaces the 2.0-litre naturally-aspirated engine that the pre-facelift shared with the Tucson. The 1.5-liter four-cylinder CRDi diesel engine outputs a maximum power of 116PS and 250 Nm of peak torque.

The company also plans to launch the new-gen Verna on March 21, 2023. It will come with the same powertrain. In fact, the new 1.5-liter T-GDi four-cylinder petrol mill is said to replace the 1.4-liter turbo petrol engine across the lineup.
