The 2023 BMW X1 was recently launched in Singapore. The third generation (U11) of the compact SUV boasts a number of updates. While it is one of the most affordable offerings in the brand’s line-up, the latest model is a remarkable improvement in all aspects. Having said this, here are all the details you need to know about the new BMW.

2023 BMW X1 Specs
The compact SUV from the German brand was officially unveiled in front of the media at the Alexandra showroom in Singapore. The new X1 is bigger and better when compared to the earlier iteration and gets a number of updates. It is powered by a 1.5L three-cylinder turbocharged engine that produces 121 bhp and 230 Nm of peak power and torque, respectively.
The SUV can sprint from 0-100 km/h in under 10.5 seconds while the top speed is restricted to 200km/h. This engine comes mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission that sends drive to the front wheels. It falls in the Band-B of the Vehicular Emissions Scheme (VES) as it has a total fuel consumption of 6.8L/100km/h.
Prices
The new 2023 BMW X1 will be offered in two trim options. The first variant, xLine, is priced from SGD243,888 (RM799,221) while the higher variant M Sport comes at a starting price of SGD245,888 (RM 799,221). There are minor M Sport differences between the costlier variants that come with features like an anthracite headliner, M Sport pioneering steering wheel and paddle shifters. It comes with 19-inch M light-alloy double-spoke style 871 bicolour wheels and high-glass Shadowline trim. The xLine on the other hand comes with 19-inch light-alloy V-spoke style 867 bicolour and satin aluminium roof reels. Other than these differences, the SUV also gets features like LED headlamps, passive cruise control, parking assistant, ambient lighting, hands-free powered tailgate, powered sport seats and Sensatec leather upholstery.

2023 BMW X1 Interior
If you look at the inside, the interior would remind you of the iX. For starters, it gets a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster with a covered display and a 10.7-inch touchscreen display that graces the dashboard. This infotainment system is powered by BMW Operating System 8. There is a movable clasp to keep the phone secure along with a wireless charger tray. The latter is located at the bottom of the centre console. When compared to the outgoing iteration, the new third-gen X1 is 53mm longer, 24mm wider, and 44mm taller. The wheelbase is also longer and the SUV gets a wider track at the rear for better dynamics. The overall cargo capacity has been improved.
