The 2022 Maruti WagonR facelift has been spotted testing on the roads. The popular hatchback will receive a few fresh elements to keep the preposition interesting in the face of stiff competition. The segment above the entry-level space continues to grow at a rapid pace as this is, oftentimes, the go-to choice for first-time car buyers in the country. 2022 Maruti WagonR Facelift
The test mule has been spotted in a maroon paint shade with a black roof. It would interesting if Maruti decides to come up with a dual-tone scheme on the new WagonR. There are sporty black alloys wheels visible on this test mule too. The silhouette remains, more or less, identical to the current version since this will be a minor facelift. This means that the tall-boy body style will be carried forward as is. The front end will feature large squarish headlamps, while the taillights will still be vertically stacked at the rear. The side profile will not have too many creases and the design will be relatively subtle.
On the inside, we might see the new Pro+ Infotainment System, new upholstery, and a few changed bits. However, the overall layout of the cabin will largely be similar to the current version. To aid the fuel economy, there might be the idle start/stop function. The powertrain options will continue to be 1.0-litre petrol, 1.2-litre petrol and CNG with manual and AMT gearbox alternatives. These engines will produce 68 PS, 83 PS and 59 PS respectively. The prices of the current model range between Rs 5.18 lakh and 6.58 lakh, ex-showroom. The facelifted version might have a slightly higher price range.
