Maruti Grand Vitara Concept in Black
This video captures the details of this unique illustration. SRK Designs have created this version. First of all, the entire exterior of the Grand Vitara is black. This includes the grille area where the chrome slabs were prominent in the regular version. Even the bumper and skid plate are black along with the fog lamp housing, thereby rendering an aggressive and sporty appearance. On the sides, the side steps ease ingress and egress. Furthermore, the car gets off-road-spec alloy wheels and tires.

These look like high-profile tyres with thick sidewalls. Such tyres are typical on SUVs that hit the dirt tracks. The thickness of the sidewall prevents the bumps from entering the cabin increasing the cushioning effect. The most prominent element of this concept is the addition of the roof rack to mount two bicycles. This highlights the practicality associated with this kind of design. The regular Grand Vitara comes powered by two petrol hybrid powertrains – a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder mild hybrid with AWD option and a 1.5-litre 3-cylinder strong hybrid with an AC synchronous electric motor and a Lithium-ion battery pack. The former outputs 103 hp and 136 Nm, while the latter is good for 116 hp and 141 Nm of peak power and torque. There are options of a 5-speed MT and a 6-speed AT with the mild hybrid, while the strong hybrid comes with the sole e-CVT automatic transmission. The mileage in the strong hybrid version is a whopping 27.97 km/l (ARAI). The prices of the Maruti Grand Vitara range from Rs 10.45 lakh to Rs 19.49 lakh, ex-showroom.
