2022 Maruti Brezza Design & Styling
Various spy images have almost totally revealed the exterior aesthetics of the upcoming B-SUV. Overall, its silhouette remains pretty much unchanged as it continues to have a slightly boxy profile. The styling elements, though, have been revamped. Up front, it gets a sleeker grille and headlamps. The bumper is new and gets a bigger airdam. In the side profile, it gets reworked rear-three-quarters and new 16-inch alloy wheels. The rear-end, like the front, gets a comprehensive update. The tailgate is completely new and so are the taillamps.
Inside, the 2022 Brezza will feature equipment that has remained mostly absent from various Maruti cars. These include a voice-controlled sunroof, wireless smartphone charger, 360-degree camera, flat-bottom steering wheel with paddle shifters and new-age Suzuki Connect. The top-spec version will even get as many as 6 airbags along with TPMS, Hill Hold Control, ESC and ABS with EBD. Taking centre stage on the dashboard will be a large 9-inch touchscreen infotainment unit that will run SmartPlay Pro+ interface. It will offer wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Specs
2022 Maruti Brezza will feature a revised 1.5-litre K15 petrol engine. It will benefit from dualjet dual-VVT setup. Power output is likely to see a marginal reduction. If the revised XL6’s specs are anything to go by, the motor will offer 103.8 PS. At 136.8 Nm, the torque will see a marginal increment. Transmission options will include a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed torque-converter automatic. Reportedly, the new Brezza will even get a CNG variant. That said, it’s unlikely to be available right from the onset. Safely expect the new model to command a slight premium over the outgoing car. Rivals will include Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Toyota Urban Cruiser, Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger and Mahindra XUV300.
