Maruti Baleno Test Drive
The YouTuber had taken the demo vehicle from a Maruti dealership on a test run. He mentions that there are quite a few relevant changes to the premium hatchback. This includes things like a better steering setting, lighter clutch for ease of driving in city traffic, better suspension and a better engine. Although this version of the Baleno was not supposed to feature any substantial mechanical change, there are minor tweaks done to the brakes and suspension system. Apart from that, there are no changes to the overall dimensions of the vehicle but it is a bit heavier compared to the outgoing model. This could have been done in order to boost the build quality and safety rating.
The features list on the new Baleno is quite extensive too. This includes things like a new Smart Pro+ Infotainment System with the latest connectivity functions, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, ARKAMYS Premium Audio System, Heads Up Display, Cruise Control, Sporty Flat Bottom Steering Wheel with multiple functions, 6 Airbags, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Hill Hold Assist, and many more.

The Baleno comes powered by a 1.2-litre K Series petrol engine that produces 88 hp and 113 Nm of peak power and torque respectively. Complementing this engine is the option of choosing between a 5-speed manual or an AMT gearbox. The prices of the new Baleno range between Rs 6.35 lakh and Rs 9.49 lakh, ex-showroom. The chief rivals are the Hyundai i20, Tata Altroz and VW Polo.
