Maruti Suzuki has launched the updated 2022 Alto K10 for our market. The largest carmaker in the country has ensured that the new model is not just a facelift but a comprehensive updated product. It boasts a ton of features that highlight which age it belongs to. 2022 Maruti Alto K10 – Exterior Design
The compact hatchback has grown in size compared to the previous-gen K10. At the front, there is a single radiator grille on the bumper and the bonnet has been made to look quite sophisticated, the headlamps have been redesigned along with the bumper, the side body panels now wear a slight crease which gives character to the exterior, there are 13-inch steel rims with wheel covers, the rear profile has been updated quite a bit too with a new set of taillamps that are partially inspired by the latest Celerio and positioned on the edges to make the car look wider and the tailgate and bumper designs have been reworked too. Customers can personalise design using the Maruti Genuine Accessories packages – Impacto and Glinto.

Interior and Features
On the inside, the changes are much more substantial. It is quite impressive what Maruti has been able to offer in terms of cabin layout and features. The centre of attention, quite literally, is the 7-inch touchscreen infotainment display that comes with Connected Car Tech Features and SmartPlay Studio, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Front and Rear Door Speakers, Navigation, Voice Commands, Steering-Mounted Audio Controls, Manual AC, redesigned dashboard layout, new Steering Wheel, updated Upholstery, new Part-Digital Instrument Cluster, manual ORVMS, spacious cabin and rear legroom, storage on front doors for bottles and much more.

Safety
On the safety front, the new Alto K10 comes with dual airbags, ABS with EBD, pre-tensioner and force limiter front seat belts, reverse parking sensors, speed-sensing auto door lock and high-speed alert.

Specs and Prices
The 2022 Maruti Alto K10 comes with the next-gen K-Series 1.0-litre dual-jet VVT petrol engine. It develops a healthy 66 hp and 89 Nm of peak power and torque. There will be the option of choosing between a 5-speed MT or a 5-speed AMT gearbox. Maruti claims the mileage of 24.90 km/l (AMT) and 24.39 km/l (MT). The prices range from Rs 3.99 lakh to Rs 5.83 lakh, ex-showroom. After the discontinuation of Hyundai Santro, the K10 will go up against the Renault Kwid in our market.
