Hyundai has been preparing to bring in the updated version of its popular compact SUV, the Venue. It has been spotted in a heavily camouflaged version.
The 2022 Hyundai Venue has been spotted performing test runs on the highway. The facelift of the compact SUV has been due for a while now. Having seen it doing the testing, we might finally be able to see the updated Venue pretty soon (July). Hyundai needs to ensure a timely launch of the 2022 Venue because the competition in this crowded segment is getting even tougher. There are reports of the compact SUV from Citroen about the enter the segment as well. To maintain the podium position, Hyundai will need to keep its offering fresh and up-to-date.

2022 Hyundai Venue Spotted
While the visuals in the video clearly show the heavily camouflaged version of the compact SUV, the official teasers are not out yet. Going by some of the logical digital iterations, the updated Venue might come with an even larger front grille, the LED DRLs will most likely continue to be placed on the bonnet, and the main headlights would be placed on the bumper along with the fog lamp housing. The bonnet will be upright, as in the existing model lending it an upright stance. There might be the addition of newer alloy wheels and the tail section might also see some tweaks with the LED lighting. The overall silhouette is expected to remain identical, but there will be distinct changes to the exterior elements.

Specs
As far as the powertrain options are concerned, there might not be any changes there. This means that there will be a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol making 82 hp and 113 Nm, a 1.5-litre diesel making 100 PS and 240 Nm and new 1.0-litre turbo petrol making 120 PS and 171 Nm of peak power and torque respectively. These engines come with the options of manual, iMT and DCT transmission options. The prices of the Venue range between Rs 7.11 lakh and Rs 11.84 lakh, ex-showroom. The facelift will feature a slight premium over these prices once it launches in July.
