Mahindra is arguably one of the busiest carmakers in the country at the moment and this might well continue for a couple of years. It has planned a ton of SUVs for our market including the new XUV700, XUV500, XUV300 Sportz, XUV900 Coupe SUV, Scorpio, Bolero and TUV300 as Bolero Neo. While the 70-seat XUV700 and Scorpio are the ones that might be launched in a couple of months, the launch of the BS6 compliant TUV300 might also follow around the same time. The new TUV300 is likely to be called the Bolero Neo and there have been a few spy shots of the same in the past. But what exactly can we expect from the upcoming sub 4m SUV, let us discuss in detail?

2021 Mahindra TUV300 (Bolero Neo) – Expected Exteriors
The TUV300 will likely to continue having a tall and boxy stance which gives it a rugged appearance. Many of its existing customers find the usage in semi-urban and rural regions which makes it a necessity to have a tough and utilitarian DNA. The front fascia is likely to house new headlamps, redesigned bumpers with fog lamps, vertically slated front grille to give a typically SUV character. The side profile will feature pronounced wheel arches, strong character lines and a tall body design. The rear is likely to continue getting the boot door mounted spare wheel and body tail lamps along with redesigned rear bumper. Overall, the new TUV300 (Bolero Neo) will retain the tough bits but will have a modern touch as well.

2021 Mahindra TUV300 (Bolero Neo) – Expected Interiors and Features
The interiors also might not be radically different from the outgoing model. We expect the Bolero Neo to feature some modern bits like the Digital Touchscreen Infotainment System with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Digital or Part Digital Driver’s Instrument Cluster, Multi-Purpose Steering Wheel, Automatic Climate Control, Redesigned Dashboard and other bits in the cabin, Height Adjustable Driver’s Seat, Leatherette Upholstery and much more. On the safety front, it will come with ABS with EBD, Dual Airbags, Reverse Parking Sensors with Camera and might also feature ISOFIX Child Seat Mounts and much more.

2021 Mahindra TUV300 (Bolero Neo) – Expected Powertrains & Prices
The Mahindra Bolero Neo is most likely to come with a BS6 compliant 1.5-litre diesel engine making 100hp and 240Nm. This engine might come with a 5-speed manual transmission. We might also see a 5-speed AMT on offer to enhance the convenience quotient of the Bolero Neo. The prices of the new TUV300 might range somewhere between Rs 8.5 lakh and Rs 11 lakh, ex-showroom. The rivals of the Mahindra Bolero Neo / TUV300 might not be too many. Sure, it falls in the category of compact SUVs but the purpose and usage of this product will be completely different than the ”natural” rivals in form of Sonet, Venue, XUV300, Nexon and Brezza. Therefore, it might well be a sole player in this space for now.
