The 2nd facelifted 2021 Ford EcoSport is about to launch soon in India. The popular compact SUV has been caught testing in a video and gives an almost clear idea of how the exteriors are going to look like. From the looks of it, there are similarities to the Datsun Redi-GO in the sense that the sleek headlamps are placed at each corner of the broad front grille. More evidently, the angular almost L-shaped LED DRLs with integrated turn indicators resemble the ones we have seen on the redi-GO in the past. All these changes will qualify this version to be easily differentiated from the current-gen model on sale. It must be noted that the EcoSport has already received a sort of update with the SE variant launched earlier with the change of lack of a spare wheel on the boot. Let us take a look at what other changes are expected from the 2021 facelifted Ford EcoSport.

There will likely be no changes to the powertrain options on offer with the updated Ford EcoSport either. This means that we might see the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine making 120 hp and 149 Nm of peak power and torque or a 1.5-litre diesel unit making 100 hp and 215 Nm of peak power and torque respectively. The petrol engine could come mated to either a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox, whereas the diesel will likely come with the 5-speed manual gearbox as standard.

Expected Prices and Rivals

The rivals of the EcoSport in our market include compact SUVs like Hyundai Venue, Maruti Brezza, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300, Renault Kiger, Nissan Magnite to name a few.
