The facelift of Tata Nexon will get more features on the inside and a few cosmetic changes on the design part.
The Nexon was first launched in 2017 and the compact SUV was a hit in the Indian market instantly. Now new images of the Tata Nexon facelift have been spied and that said the car is expected to launch in 2020.
The 2020 Tata Nexon facelift spy shot is completely camouflaged but the changes can be seen on the bonnet, front bumpers and the car gets a new headlamp cluster and DRLs. Also, the car gets redesigned front grille, new rear bumpers and more such things which make it a looker.
The compact SUV follows the IMPACT 2.0 Design philosophy, the one seen on the Harrier. Also, the silhouette of the Nexon will be the same as before but will sport new alloy wheel design, refreshed rear design and more.

The interiors of the car will more or less remain the same but expect an increase in the features and equipment list. Tata might also improve the upholstery and it may get a Bosch-sourced all-digital instrument cluster and among other bits to the Nexon. Also on the list is the addition of sunroof, larger touchscreen infotainment system, rain sensing wipers are expected.
Under the hood, the Nexon will continue with the 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine but now they will be BS6 compliant. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and 6-speed AMT gearbox.
Talk about the prices, then the facelift of Tata Nexon will see an expected price increase of Rs 50,000. This is because of the new engines, added features and more such details. Tata Nexon competes with the likes of Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV500 and Ford Ecosport.

In other news, Tata has also confirmed the Nexon EV which is expected to launch in the coming 18 months. The compact SUV will use the lithium-ion which is positioned under the seat.
Tata Nexon EV will not be the first compact SUV as Mahindra is expected to bring an eXUV300 by late 2020. It will come in two battery pack which will pack more range and diversify their electric vehicles portfolio. Currently, the manufacturer offers two EVs namely, e-Verito and e20 Plus.
