The new Thunderbird now looks modern and more cruiser type than the ongoing model. It will come with BS6 engines and suspension wise it will possess the same twin shock absorbers at the rear and telescopic at the front.
New spy shots of the Royal Enfield Thunderbird showcases the accessories the motorcycle will get once it gets launched in 2020. The new generation is expected to be seen at the 2020 Auto Expo and will be ready with BS6 engines.
The spy shots here reveal some accessories like leg guard, windscreen and more on the 2020 Royal Enfield Thunderbird. The popular cruiser is in its advanced stage of the development process.
The latest tuning to the accessories part shows the tall transparent windscreen, chrome saddle bag guard, chrome handlebar ends weight among either ends. The bike also gets alloy wheels and a flat handle bar which further indicates that a sportier X variant is also on the line.

We have told you some details of the design bits of the 2020 Royal Enfield Thunderbird from the spy shots. While the aesthetic and retro looks will be retained, the bike does gets some noticeable visual changes.
Changes like new circular taillights, revised seating position, low-mounted turn indicators and shorter mud-guard which can be easily seen to the naked eye. The Thunderbird always packed new technologies and the twin pod cluster is expected to be replaced by a single pod unit which will likely cater the analogue as well as digital readings.
The fuel tank is bigger now and the foot pegs have also shifted ahead. The Thunderbird is the only cruiser from the RE lineup. And the new spy shot looks modern and a bit more of a cruiser now.
The suspensions continues with the same telescopic fork at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear but will be tuned to give a more comfortable ride. Also, the positions of the rear disc and the sprockets have been interchanged.

The same engine is powered in the Bullets, Classic and regular Thunderbird series and all of them will be updated with the new engines. The most affordable bike from the RE portfolio is the Bullet 350X which starts from Rs 1.12 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi)
Mechanical changes on the two-wheeler include BS6 compliant engine for both 350cc and 500cc units. The updated engine will offer more power and quicker acceleration with increased overall performance.
