The new-gen Range Rover Evoque takes its design inspiration from the big SUV, Velar, right from the exteriors to the interiors.
The baby SUV, also known as the Evoque from the Range Rover garage received its update last year internationally and soon the 2020 model is expected to come in India before this year’s end.
The 2020 Range Rover Evoque carries a new design statement, reworked powertrains and dimension wise, the wheelbase is about 20mm bigger than its predecessor which was available in India. The spy shot caught was being used by ARAI to check the performance and fuel efficiency of the upcoming SUV.
Talking about the design of the baby SUV, then it right away borrows the inspiration from the big brother, Velar. The slim headlight at the front, upright mesh grille, restyled front bumpers, air vents can be observed.

The rear profile also sees the sleek taillight design, bolder rear bumpers, black strip running through the tailgate and overall the silhouette of the SUV is retained from the older model. The side profile sees a new alloy wheel design along with flared wheel arches.
Coming to the interiors, it very much resembles like the Velar. It gets twin touchscreens, one controls the infotainment system while the lower screen controls the HVAC functions and other controls. The SUV also comes with cabin air ionization, InControl Touchscreen pro infotainment system, 16-way seat control adjustment and among others. The cabin inside feel premium and hosts loads of features.
With the new platform, Range Rover Evoque also supports 48V mild hybrid tech which makes it more fuel efficient. It will come with new petrol and diesel engines and surprisingly the entry-level trim only gets two-wheel drive while the higher variants see the four-wheel drive and an automatic transmission.

Upon its launch in Indian markets, the Range Rover Evoque will compete with the likes of Volvo XC40, Audi Q3 and Mercedes Benz GLC. Like the success of the previous generation, we hope that the new one makes its place in the market.
