Maruti has put out a new teaser of the 2020 Vitara Brezza Petrol, just a day ahead of the Auto Expo. The C-SUV will get a new 1.5 Litre petrol engine.
Maruti is going to showcase the new Brezza Petrol on 6th February, at the 2020 Auto Expo. Ahead of that, the SUV has been teased which sort of reveals the changes that it gets on the outside. It will get more “SUV” styling bits with the facelift.
As seen in the teaser, the 2020 Maruti Vitara Brezza Petrol gets a refreshed front fascia with new grille, new LED headlamps and revised fog lamp housing. There’s also brushed metal skid plate added, for the SUV touch. It also gets new dual-tone alloy wheels.

Inside the cabin, there will be changes to the dashboard and upholstery colour. New features are expected on board, including a better touchscreen infotainment system, new steering wheel and changed centre console. It would be interesting to see if there are some new advanced connectivity features just like the Venue or the Nexon Facelift.
New Brezza will turn its side from a complete diesel SUV to a petrol SUV. It will use Maruti’s recently developed 1.5 Litre K15B SHVS four-cylinder motor. The engine produces 104 BHP and 138 Nm of peak torque. The motor will come with a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 4-speed AT, just like earlier.

With the introduction of BS6 petrol engine, the prices of new Brezza will certainly go a bit down. Right now, it starts off at Rs 7.62 Lakhs up to Rs 10.60 Lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi). It goes against the likes of Hyundai Venue, 2020 Tata Nexon Facelift, Mahindra XUV300, Honda WR-V and Ford EcoSport.
While all of its rivals come with petrol and diesel engines, the Brezza is bound to lose its share in the market. But, Maruti has confirmed that they are reconsidering the possibility of a diesel engine on the bigger Maruti cars. Stay tuned for more details, about to come up at the 2020 Auto Expo!
