The major change of the facelifted Maruti Brezza will be under the hood with a 1.5L petrol engine which is seen on the Ertiga and Ciaz. Design-wise, the compact SUV looks more or less the same.
It is no doubt that the Maruti Brezza is the best selling SUV in its segment and even when it comes with a sole diesel engine only, the sales are pretty high. Now, come 2020 and Maruti will discontinue diesel engine from its portfolio which means a petrol engine will overtake the oil burner for the 2020 Brezza facelift.
The spy shots below are caught by Gaadiwaadi on Indian roads and the compact SUV is fully camouflaged. Looking by the images, the 2020 Maruti Brezza facelift retains its boxy silhouette and the changes seem minimal.
The front fascia looks similar to the current one except for the projector headlight unit which will now come with LED Daytime Running Lights. A restyled bumper along with new round shape foglamp housing can be seen. We can also expect some minor tweaks in terms of grille design.

Moving to the rear profile, the compact SUV looks more or less the same with the LED taillight unit, chrome strip with the Brezza nomenclature. The cabin will retain its all-black theme inside and no major changes can be expected. Few tweaks like the inclusion of a larger touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto can be expected and with new features.
The biggest change in the upcoming Marut Brezza facelift will be under the hood. The inclusion of a 1.5-litre K15B SHVS engine which will be BS6 compliant. This same engine is seen with the Ertiga and Ciaz. It produces 104 bhp and 138 Nm of peak torque. Transmission option includes a 5-speed manual gearbox and a four-speed torque converter.

Earlier, Maruti was also considering the Baleno RS engine. The 1.0-litre booster jet petrol engine which gives out less fuel economy in the real world. Considering, the Brezza which gives a better average, this booster jet engine turned out to be expensive.
