Mahindra is gearing up for the launch of new generation 2020 Thar. As of now, there is nothing official about its launch date but a new video has surfaced online that indicates it might be launched by the second week of April. There are some more exclusive details from that video.
As per the video, the 2020 Mahindra Thar will come in six variants, three for the diesel engine and three for the petrol. As seen in spy shots, many test mules have been spied with soft tops as well. The base variant with both the engines will get soft top and rest of them will come with hard-top.
Thar might also come with four-seat and five-seat configuration, depending on the variants. Basically, the four-seater might be two side facing two-seater benches. The five-seater will come with a three-seater bench at the back.

Lastly, the video also indicates the price list. As per it, the 2020 Mahindra Thar will be priced from around Rs 8 to 8.5 Lakhs up to Rs 11.5 Lakhs (ex-showroom). Taking this price estimation in consideration, the new Thar will be much costlier than the earlier version. Like always, it will face no fierce competition because the segment only has one option, Force Gurkha.
