The upcoming Mahindra Scorpio is expected to be showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo and we have shown you some various spy shots of how the car could look like. Now based on the spy shots we have a rendered image of how the new Scorpio could look like.
The camouflaged shots of the 2020 Scorpio gives us an idea that Mahindra is completely reworking on the SUV. Launched back in 2002, the SUV needed a much change in terms of dimensions, platform and overall design of the car.
The rendered image shows the fresh design of headlamps along with the large hexagonal radiator grille upfront with vertical slats with rounded ends. It also gets a wider lower grille, high rise bonnet with sharper air scoops to suffice with the upcoming passenger safety norms. A new bumper, wider skid plates and vertical fog lamps housing can also be seen.

Talking about the profile of the SUV then it will possess lower roofline and an upstanding front which makes it an urban looking car. Following the latest design statement, the vehicle will have flared wheel arches and a marginally raked windshield.
The all-new Scorpio interiors will also be revamped following the latest conventional design theory. Vertical air-con vents, new dashboard design, a larger touchscreen infotainment system supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are some of the changes which can be seen.
The steering wheel, instrument cluster, gear knob and among others can be borrowed from Marazzo to keep the manufacturing cost as low as possible. The SUV will sit on ladder-on-frame chassis which helps in upgrading the body control. As per the reports, the unit will be around 80 kg than the ongoing Scorpio.
