For the first time, the new Duke 390 has been spotted testing. It looks a bit bigger and more aggressive than the current model.
KTM Duke 390 is the manufacturer’s one of the most popular motorcycles around the world. It was first launched in India in 2012 and instantly became a hit due to its sporty stance and the roaring exhaust note.
Now, Ride Apart has spotted a new version of Duke 390 being testing on foreign roads. It last received an update in 2017 which gave it a TFT colour panel and some visual upgrades too.
The spotted test mule looks bigger and more aggressive than the current version. However, we suspect it to be a prototype in its early stages of production.

The spotted bike looses its fairing and is now even more exposed. It looks bigger than the outgoing version. The swingarm also seems to be revised, along with a new chassis. The steel trellis cradle still covers major part of the bike.
2020 Duke 390 will continue with the same inverted forks at the front and split LED headlamps, but different design for the alloy wheels. The same TFT colour panel is also seen on the spotted test mule.
The cylinder head and exhaust system receive minor revisions, probably for even better performance. The changes will also adapt to the upcoming BS-6 emission norms.
The engine will remain the same 373cc liquid-cooled DOHC mill. Currently, it produces 43 BHP and 37 Nm of peak torque, while being mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The torque might be increased by a slight difference.

The 2020 Duke 390 might be unveiled later the EICMA 2019, along with the new RC390, which was spotted testing a couple of months back.
Meanwhile, KTM is gearing up to launch the much awaited 390 Adventure and Duke 790 in India. Reportedly, there is an RC125 under works as well.
