In a market that is continuously being saturated with SUVs, the 2020 Honda City comes as a fresh breath of air. There couldn’t have been any better car to break this monotony as the new Honda City is as traditional a sedan as it can get. Honda says that the design of the new City has been inspired by the Japanese Katana Sword and you can see that in the strong shoulder line that runs right from the headlamp all the way to the tail lamp defining its shape. It makes the hood look longer and gives the car an overall sleek look. The design is distinctly sporty and yet has an elegance to it. At the rear, the boot lid is well sculpted and comes with Z shaped 3D wrap-around LED tail lamps. The new 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels also add some distinction to the character of the car.
The cabin of the new City has also been completely redesigned. The instrument panel is made in a horizontal and linear form for improved clarity of car’s sense and direction. The interior colors, material and finish is a beautiful contrast of beige and black to give a clutter-free and open feeling. There’s plenty use of soft touch materials with stitching and wood garnishing for a more premium feeling. A 20.3 cm touchscreen infotainment system takes center stage on the dashboard and below it are newly designed click-free climate-control buttons with red/blue illumination.
