Hyundai Xcent Nios will launch shortly after new-gen Grand i10. The compact sedan carries more features on the inside and gets LED treatment for lights.
Hyundai recently unveiled the upcoming Grand i10 Nios and boy the car looks so much better than the ongoing model. Following the lead, the 2020 Hyundai Xcent will also be launched a little later and will sport the ‘Nios Tag’. Let me tell you, both the Grand i10 and Xcent share the same platform, features and it is the body shape which differentiates both the vehicles.
The 2020 Hyundai Xcent Nios was recently caught by Autocar India and the spy shot gave us some details. For starters, the compact sedan gets LED taillights treatment which is much inspired by the Verna. The rear bumpers are also redesigned to keep up the aesthetics.
Coming to the front, it gets a large cascading grille with LED Daytime Running Lights placed at the edge. The vertical housing of fog lights along, wider air intakes give the car a fresh look. Dimension wise it is said that the car will grow wider than its predecessor and will eventually make up space at the rear.

The upcoming sedan will share a lot of features with the Grand i10 Nios. A large touchscreen infotainment system along with the latest BlueLink connectivity can be expected. Mind you, the connected car technology is not offered in the hatchback.
Wireless charging, a rear-seat armrest, separate head-rests for second-row passengers, different seat colour options are some of the features that can be expected. Also, the touchscreen will boast Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as connectivity features.
Under the hood, it will be powered by the same 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine and U2 1.2-L oil burner. The engines will be BS6 compliant and are expected to come in AMT gearbox too along with 5-speed manual transmission.

In addition, it is also being said that the current Xcent will be sold in lower trims which will focus only on the fleet operators. Once launched, the sedan will compete with the likes of Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Ford Aspire, Tata Tigor, Volkswagen Ameo and Honda Amaze.
