The 2020 Hyundai Verna will sport a completely new makeover along with changes under the hood.
It was back in 2011 when Hyundai launched the fluidic Verna which took the market by storm with its unique design, now cut to 2020, a brand new facelift is on the cards.
Hyundai Verna is a perfect blend of style and comfort at all levels. The Korean manufacturer has been extensively working on the new design and the car has been spotted in China recently, revealing the design structure.
In terms of design, the 2020 Hyundai Verna draws inspiration from elder sister, Elantra. The triangular swept-back projector headlights, large cascading grille, new fog lamp housing with chrome strip acting as a showoff. The bumpers too receive an agile treatment and car looks more upmarket than the on-going model.

Moving onto the sides it will sit on 16-inch wheels with a new diamond-cut design. The rear profile of the sedan now gets slimmer taillights and a connector between the lamps. A new rear bumper with an integrated diffuser can be observed.
There are no interiors images but we expect it to get a revised dashboard design with a new steering wheel. Also, the new Verna is expected to get more knee and head room. Most of the features will be retained from the older model and we also expect the latest BlueLink connected car technology to come in place like the Venue.
Safety features onboard include Six-airbag, front seat belt reminder, ABS and EBD. The speed-sensing door lock, Rear parking sensors, high-speed alert system also comes in the Hyundai Verna.
The major change will be under the hood as we expect new 1.5L petrol and diesel engines to fall in place. Of course, they will be BS6 compliant. These engines will be shared in the next-gen Creta and are already coming with Kia Seltos.

The transmission options will include a 6-speed manual gearbox along with an automatic. We also expect a turbo petrol engine of capacity 1.4L to come in place so it competes with the Vento TSI.
The model here is what the Chinese market will see. Our Indian design will be a little bit different than what the international markets will see. We expect the new Verna will be showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo and sales tarting during the first week of April 2020.
