Hyundai has now revealed the official sketches of 2020 i20. The new generation hatchback will receive a complete makeover and will be out by June.
Hyundai is going to bring the new generation of i20 by June 2020. The hatchback will first receive a makeover in the global market in a couple of months. 2020 Hyundai i20 will look sharper and sportier with new engines onboard.
In terms of features, Hyundai i20 is already the leader in its segment. With the new generation, the situation will further improve. The hatchback will get a first-in-segment electric sunroof, cruise control, auto headlamps and wireless charging.
The design sketches show that there’s the new Cascading Grille on the front. The 2020 Hyundai i20 looks a bit similar to the Sonata, especially from the front. It gets vertically placed fog lamps, sharper headlamps and tail lamps and new alloy wheels as well.

New i20 will get sharper lines and a more aggressive stance. Inside the cabin, it is expected to get new fully digital speedometer, new touchscreen infotainment, refreshed centre console and new interior theme too. We’re expecting all-black interiors on range-topping variants.
Under the hood, the 2020 Hyundai i20 will get all-new engines. First, there will be the BS6 1.2 Litre petrol engine, producing 83 PS and 113 Nm. It will get Seltos’s 1.5 Litre diesel engine, in a detuned state. The motor in its form produces 115 PS and 250 Nm of torque.
The third engine will be Venue’s new 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine. The motor produces 115 PS and 172 Nm of peak torque, mated with a 6-speed MT and a 7-speed DCT. The power figures might be lower for i20 but the gearbox options will be the same.
