A new report confirms that 2020 Hyundai Creta will indeed get Seltos’s new 1.4 Litre turbo-petrol engine to go with the 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox.
Hyundai is going to launch the updated 2020 Creta in India on 17th March. Unveiled at the Auto Expo 2020, we have an idea of how it looks from the outside. Fresh reports reveal the engine details, variants and colour options.
2020 Hyundai Creta will get three new engine options – the 1.4 Litre turbo petrol, 1.5 Litre four-cylinder petrol and a 1.5 Litre turbo-diesel. The turbo engine will get a 7-speed DCT, the petrol with a CVT and the diesel with a 6-speed AT.
The turbo petrol motor puts out 140 BHP and 242 Nm of peak torque. The petrol engine produces 115 BHP and 145 Nm of peak torque. Lastly, the diesel engine produces 115 BHP and 250 Nm of peak torque. All the engines and transmission are borrowed from Seltos.

A sneak peek inside the cabin of new Creta indicated us that it will get restyled interiors as well. First, there’s a dual-tone treatment to the dashboard, which now looks more premium. There’s a new steering wheel, bigger touchscreen infotainment system, new seat upholstery and side AC vents too.
New features on the Creta will include a panoramic sunroof, new touchscreen infotainment with Blue Link technology, triple LED headlamps, new digital instrument console and vertically-stacked side AC Vents.
On the outside, it gets reshaped front and rear bumpers with new dual-tone 17-inch alloy wheels and the Hyundai’s signature cascading front grille. Basically, there’s a complete makeover done to the 2020 Hyundai Creta.

All these upgrades are bound to increase the prices of the Creta by a considerable margin. As of now, it is priced from Rs 9.95 Lakhs up to Rs 15.6 Lakhs (ex-showroom). The base-spec variants would come at very similar prices but the top-spec variants will go easily up to Rs 16.5 Lakhs.
