2019 Yamaha MT-09 has now been priced at Rs 10.55 Lakhs. The updated bike receives a new paint job option, keeping all the other specifications same.
Yamaha has updated its MT-09 street fighter with a new paint job, as in an update for 2019. Now, it is priced at Rs 10.55 Lakhs, demanding a price hike of Rs 16,000 over the previous one.
Yamaha MT-09 is now available in Night Fluo (White and Red) colour option. The new colour is available along side Yamaha Blu (Blue and Black) and Tech Black colour options.
Apart from this, there has been no revisions on the bike. The engine specifications, features and dimensions remain the same.

Yamaha MT-09 is powered by a 3-cylinder liquid-cooled DOHC 847cc engine, that produces 115 BHP at 10000 RPM and 87.5 Nm at 8500 RPM. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox with wet,multi-plate clutch.
MT-09 is equipped with a long feature list, which includes, Quick Shift System, Electronic Control, Traction Control System, 3 Different Riding modes, LED double lights, fully adjustable forks and a fully digital LCD cluster.
The Quickshifter comes in aid during aggressive riding, when the rider can change the gears without pressing the clutch. The electronic control offers the rider to change the engine character based on the roads and situations.

Yamaha MT-09 uses Upside Down telescopic forks and Swing arm Link-type suspension at the back. The travel of the rear suspension stands at 130mm.
The bike uses dual 298mm discs at the front and a single 245mm disc at the back, paired with a dual-channel ABS from Bosch. Since it is a CBU, top notch equipment is used on board.
MT-09 weighs 193 kgs with full oil and fuel tank. The seat height is considerably tall at 820mm. The fuel tank capacity stands at 14 Litres, giving an approximate riding range of 300 kms.

Yamaha MT-09 goes against Triumph Street Triple, Ducati Monster 821 and Kawasaki Z900. Yamaha plans to launch less powerful versions of MT series in India, starting with MT-15.
