Volkswagen has tweaked the Polo and Vento with a mild facelift. However, the engine still sticks to BS4 norms.
German manufacturers, Volkswagen has launched the 2019 Polo and Vento facelift at a starting price of Rs 5.82 Lakh and Rs 8.76 lakh respectively. All price stick to ex-showroom, Mumbai.
The changes to the 2019 Volkswagen Polo and Vento facelift include at the exteriors with new front and rear bumper design that are inspired from the GTI. The side profile follows the same silhouette like before but gets a new grey finish to the 16-inch alloy wheels. At the rear, you can see tweaked taillights. Also, a new red colour is now available with the car called ‘Sunset Red’.
The facelifted Vento takes inspiration from the newly launched Cup editions and gets the honeycomb mesh grille up front. It follows the same two-tone alloy wheels and it receives black trim on the lower bumper. The GT Line of the cars gets a black contrasting roof, black ORVMs and a spoiler. Also, a black diffuser is given at the rear section which gives it a sporty look.

The safety features on both the car include dual-front airbags, ABS with EBD, Electronic stability program, driver and co-driver seat belt reminders, high speed alert system, speed sensing door lock, engine immobilizer and rear parking sensors. It will also get rear parking camera as a convenience feature.
The trims above Highline now comes with Volkswagen Connect. It basically helps you giving in the location of your vehicle or how your daily driving pattern is or helps you when the car gets stuck in emergency situations.
Under the hood, the Volkswagen Vento continues to sport the 1.6-litre naturally aspirated petrol motor which produces 105 bhp with a peak torque of 153 Nm and 1.2L And the 1.0L petrol motor on the Polo will be retained too which makes 75 bhp and a healthy torque of 96 Nm. Transmission option sticks to 5-speed manual transmission.

The Polo GT TSI continues to stick to BS4 emission norms and it churns out 103 bhp and 175 Nm of peak torque. This same engine is used by Vento in automatic trim. It is mated to 7-speed DSG transmission. The diesel engines for both the car are likely to be retained as of now with the same configuration.
The pricing of the cars stick to Rs 5.82 lakh for the base variant of the facelifted Polo and the base trim of Vento starts at Rs 8.76 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai).
