Suzuki Gixxer will be updated soon with revised styling and new feature additions. We expect the updated bikes to be launched this month.
Last year, we reported that Suzuk Gixxer will receive a major overhaul in 2019. The new-generation Gixxer will be a lot different and better than the current one.
Industry sources and online reports suggest that Gixxer will get an update soon enough, speculated to be in February 2019. The complete lineup of Gixxer will be updated.
It is expected that the updated bike will get new design cues and some feature additions as well. A bump in the power figures are also expected, but there are less chances of a revised engine.

In terms of styling, 2019 Suzuki Gixxer will get a sharper and sportier bodywork. The cosmetic updates will be significant, setting it apart from the current one.
In terms of features, the bike will get LED headlamps, Suzuki Easy Start system, a more comprehensive digital speedometer and split seats. It already comes with a digital meter, but the 2019 version will provide more information.
Suzuki Gixxer is already equipped with front and read disc brake with a single-channel ABS as option. So, the braking setup will be retained along with the suspension setup.

Currently, Gixxer gets a 155cc air-cooled engine that puts out 14.8 BHP and 14 Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox. We speculate a mild upward in the power figures.
Suzuki Gixxer competes with the likes of TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, Bajaj Pulsar NS160, Yamaha FZ V3 and Honda CB Hornet 160R. Amongst these bikes, Gixxer is one of the least selling bikes.
We suspect Suzuki to make Gixxer as an overall fun package, combined with the reliability and comfort of the current version.

As of now, the bike is priced at Rs 81,550 for the rear disc and Rs 88,388 for the ABS variant. A mild premium in the prices might put the ABS variant for around Rs 90,000 (prices ex-showroom).
