Suzuki Gixxer will get major updates very soon, reportedly on 20th May itself. Further revelations say that it might get some styling bits from Gixxer 250.
Suzuki has scheduled to launch the upcoming Gixxer 250 on 20th May. Scarce details are out, but we know that it will be a fully faired version and not in the naked street one.
Fresh reports from Bikeadvice state that the updated Gixxer and SF might be launched on that day. Both the 150cc bikes are due to get an update for a long time now, and what could be a better day than that?
The report further states that the updated Gixxer series will borrow some styling bits from the upcoming 250cc version. So, we can expect a major styling revamp soon.

Suzuki will first launch the fully faired Gixxer 250, as per the media invite. We are not sure about it being available in the naked street bike version. Chances are that it might be launched later.
Expect the Gixxer 150 to get sporty seats, LED headlamps, revised front fairing and a revised instrument console. It will follow the relaxed riding position with a raised single-piece handlebar.
The updated bikes will continue with the same 155cc air-cooled FI engine, but with a chance of BS-6 engine. The motor produces 14.8 BHP at 8000 RPM and 114 Nm at 6000 RPM, while being mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
The suspension setup will be the same with telescopic forks and a swing arm monoshock at the back. Gixxer 150 was already equipped with a single-channel ABS, which is now standard fitment.

The upcoming Suzuki Gixxer 250 will carry forward the brand name, taking on the likes of Hero Xtreme 200S, Yamaha Fazer 25 and Bajaj Pulsar RS200. It can also go against Duke 200 and Yamaha R15 V3.
Expect the prices of Gixxer 250 to stay between the Rs 1.2 to Rs 1.3 Lakh range (ex-showroom). The regular 150cc version might demand a marginal hike over the current prices.
