The 2019 Porsche Macan facelift will be available in two iterations in India – the standard Macan and the Macan S. The Macan gets several cosmetic changes inside and out.
Porsche has launched the new 2019 Macan facelift in India today for a starting price of Rs. 69.98 lakhs for the standard Macan while the top-spec Macan S has been priced at Rs. 85.03 lakh, all prices ex-showroom. The previously available Macan Turbo is not on sale as of now. The Macan was due a makeover since a long time and finally it has arriveed with updated styling, more features and comfort and improved driving dynamics as well.
The 2019 Porsche Macan facelift’s styling has been much inspired by its bigger brother, the Cayenne. At the front, the bumper has been completely redesigned to make it look much wider with sportier air dams. The LED fog lamp housings are also much more aggressive than before. It also gets the new four-point LED headlamps we see in the newer Porsche’s these days.
In profile, it remains largely the same but it is at the rear where it is most differentiating from the pre-facelift model. The three-part, three-dimensional LED light strip along the tailgate looks amazing on an otherwise neat rear end. The four-point design of the brake lights have also been inspired from its bigger sibling, the Cayenne. The 2019 Porsche Macan, we will also see four new colors – Miami Blue, Mamba Green Metallic, Dolomite Silver Metallic, and Crayon. It also comes with new 20-inch or 21-inch wheels.
The interiors also see some considerable update. The dashboard layout is in line with newer Porsche cars and now features an 10.9-inch touchscreen display for the new Porsche Communication Management (PCM). The air-con vents too have been redesigned and now sit below the infotainment screen instead of on the sides.

It also gets a new steering wheel, similar to the ones we see in the 911s. Also, Porsche will offer a Connect Plus module, making every vehicle fully connected along with the new ‘off-road precision’ app, that can record and analyse off-road driving experiences in the SUV. Other features include three-zone climate control, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, cruise control. along with the options of Bose or Burmester sound systems.
As for the engines for the Macan facelift in India, the base model will use a 2.0L, turbocharged four-cylinder engine which can produce 246 bhp and 370 Nm of peak torque. Next, there will be the Macan S which will use a 3.0L, turbocharged, V6 engine with 355 bhp and 480 Nm of peak of torque. Both engines come paired to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The Macan S sprints from naught to 100 kph in just 5.1 seconds and with the Sports Chrono package, it has a top-speed of 254 kph.

Given the price of the Macan and its performance figures, it rivals the likes of the Audi Q5, Mercedes-Benz GLE, BMW X5 and the Jaguar F-Pace in India.
