The MY19 Maruti Suzuki Ignis comes with minor cosmetic revisions and the addition of some creature comforts along with improvement in safety features.
Maruti Suzuki is currently in the process of updating its entire model line-up to meet the approaching crash test regulations which become fully applicable from October 2019. In order to meet these regulations, vehicles manufactured in India must have to have a set of active, as well as passive safety systems and features on offer.
Maruti Suzuki has launched several new products in the last one year, starting from the debut of the third generation Swift back in February 2018. And since then we have seen the debut of the updated Ciaz, Ertiga, Baleno and the Wagon R hatchback along with minor revisions in the Vitara Brezza as well.

The next product in-line to receive this update is the Ignis crossover hatchback. There were reports that Maruti Suzuki is planning to update the Ignis for the year 2019. A fresh set to spy images suggests that the updated model has already started arriving at the dealerships.
Contrary to our expectations, the design for the 2019 Maruti Suzuki Ignis remains the same as before. However, we do see the addition of roof-mounted spoiler in the MY19 vehicle. In addition to this, we expect the Ignis to now come with additional safety features such as passenger seat belt warning, high-speed alert system and rear parking sensors as a standard fitment. This car was already available with dual-airbags along with ABS and EBD as standard across the range.
