With the introduction of Mahindra Gusto 110 cc and 125cc with CBS, we expect the sales for Mahindra two-wheelers can hit off rightly.
Mahindra two-wheelers have been recording zero sales for the past few months as the products in its portfolio couldn’t comply with the government safety norms. The government norms say that all two-wheelers under 125cc must come with the CBS and that above 125cc should have ABS.
Now to improve their sales, Mahindra introduced a 2019 Gusto with CBS (combi-brake system) at a price tag of Rs 50,996 for the base DX trim. The updated scooter is now Rs 2,800 costlier than the non-CBS version.

With the addition of CBS, the Mahindra Gusto 110 VX costs Rs 55,660 and the 125 VX costs Rs 58,137. All prices mentioned are based on ex-showroom, Delhi. What has changed for the 125cc Mahindra Gusto is the deletion of the base, DX trim and mid-spec, HX trim. Feature-wise both the scooters are exactly the same.
The 110cc Gusto churns out 8 bhp with 9 Nm of torque while the 12cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine produces 8.5 bhp and 10 Nm of peak torque. Both the engines receive a CVT gearbox. They get a 6L fuel tank and 165 mm of ground clearance.
Features onboard include LED pilot lamp, height adjustable seat, remote flip key, find me lamp are some of the features onboard. Braking wise, both the scooters get standard drum brake set up and receives telescopic suspension at the front and rear monoshock at the rear.

The Gusto 110 CBS and Gusto 125 CBS will be made available across all Mahindra two-wheelers dealership in coming weeks. The scooter competes with the likes of Honda Activa, Hero Maestro Edge, TVS Jupiter, Suzuki Access and among others.
Next on the line is the launch of Mahindra Mojo ABS which has been spied recently. It will get a revised 294.7cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine, that produces 26.3 BHP at 7500 RPM. The torque figures are unknown, but it might offer around 30 Nm.
Features onboard for the same include twin-pod headlamps, front and rear disc brakes, LED tail lamps, digital-analogue instrument cluster and LED DRLs too.
