Meanwhile, Zigwheels reports that 2019 Isuzu D Max V Cross will sport a new 1.9 Litre diesel engine. As per the publication, the spotted test mule has the new engine under its hood. It will replace the 2.5 Litre diesel engine.
The change comes in as the emission norms are nearing in. With the new engine, Isuzu India will comply with the upcoming BS-6 norms.
The new 1.9 Litre engine produces 150 BHP and 350 Nm, which are better than the current engine. The current one generates 138 BHP and 320 Nm of peak torque.
Along with the new engine, 2019 Isuzu D Max V Cross will also offer an option of automatic transmission on the new engine. Most likely, there are chances of a 6-speed automatic on offer.

However, then comes a question about its drivetrain. The UK-spec updated D Max comes with AT-4WD setup, however the Thailand-spec does not get one.
Zigwheels speculates that the 2019 Isuzu D Max V Cross could offer Automatic Gearbox with the new engine and 4X2 drive train. The lower priced variant will be the same old 2.5 Litre diesel engine with manual transmission and 4X4 drivetrain.
The test mule also gets a new set of multispoke alloy wheels. Subtle changes to the front and rear bumpers are also noticeable. Minor cosmetic changes would come in the 2019 Isuzu D Max V Cross.
Inside the cabin, it is expected to get a bigger and better touchscreen infotainment. revised dashboard setup and updated instrument cluster.

The prices are most likely to increase by around Rs 1 Lakh or so. However, Isuzu India is hiking the prices of both of its SUVs, starting from January 1. Currently, the D Max V Cross is priced from Rs 14.82 Lakhs up to Rs 15.82 Lakhs.
