2019 Hyundai Elantra Facelift has been spotted in India for the first time. It will receive some minors updates and feature additions. The launch is expected in second half of 2019.
Hyundai Elantra has survived 3 generations in India. The first one looked a bit sporty and relatively smaller than the outgoing one. The current gen Elantra looks upscale and an ideal competitor for its segment rivals.
Here are the first set of spy pics of 2019 Hyundai Elantra facelift, that was spotted testing in Ooty. The facelifted sedan was camouflaged, but it looked more premium than the current one.
As we see the spy pics, it gets a sharper and aggressive front portion and a bit of revised exterior. It will use Creta’s cascading front grille with the sharp design style. Spotted test mule also gets a new set of alloy wheels.

On the rear side, it gets a revised rear bumper. The tail light section also seems to be revised. The spotted test mule is a top-end variant because it is equipped with an electric sunroof.
We expect the 2019 Hyundai Elantra Facelift to continue with the same mechanicals. It will continue to be offered with the 2.0 Litre petrol and 1.6 Litre diesel engine. The petrol engine produces 156 BHP and 192 Nm of peak torque. The diesel engine develops 126 BHP and 259 Nm of peak torque.
For suspension purposes, it continues with a 6-speed manual with an optional 6-speed automatic for both the engines.

Hyundai Elantra comes with features such as Projector headlamps with LED position lamps, Electric Sunroof, 10-way Adjustable Power Driver Seat, Dual Zone Fully Automatic AC, Rear AC Vents, Glove Box Cooling, Front & Rear Seat Headrests Height Adjustable, Drive Mode Select, Hands Free Smart Trunk, Auto Cruise control and Wireless charging.
Safety features onboard include 6 airbags, ABS & EBD, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), Hill Assist Control, Front Parking Sensors, Rear Parking Sensors, Rear-View Camera, Automatic Headlight Control and Projector fog lamps.
Prices of Elantra start off at Rs 13.71 Lakhs up to Rs 18.80 Lakhs for the petrol variant. The diesel variant starts off at Rs 15.02 Lakhs up to Rs 19.94 Lakhs (ex-showroom prices Delhi).

Elantra rivals against the likes of Skoda Octavia and Toyota Corolla Altis. It will also compete with the upcoming Honda Civic, which is due in the early months of 2019.
