The next-generation Honda Civic is all set to launch in India during the month of February 2019. Ahead of its highly anticipated launch, the premium executive sedan has been spotted testing in India for the first time.
The premium executive sedan, Honda Civic, is all set to make its comeback to India after a gap of almost 6 years after it was discontinued back in 2012. With this generation update, this d-segment sedan now gets significantly sportier aesthetics and is loaded up-to-the-brim with features and creature comforts.
2019 Honda Civic for our market looks very similar to the global-spec Civic. Currently, in its tenth generation, it received a mild facelift in August, this year. In India, the speculated launch is around February next year.
The sedan spotted in the test mule gets a new set of alloy wheels, which do not come in the global-spec model. We could only spot the rear-end part of it, but as the launch is near, more spy shots and details will come up.

Reports say that Honda might heavily localize Civic to keep the costs under control. Most of the Honda Cars are priced on the upper end of their segment.
The India-spec Civic will come with a 1.8 Litre petrol engine and a 1.6 Litre i-DTEC diesel engine. The diesel engine debuted in the new Honda CR-V. As per our expectations, the petrol and diesel engines will be BS-6 compliant.
The petrol engine produces 141 BHP and 174 Nm of peak torque. The diesel engine produces 120 BHP and 300 Nm of peak torque.
