2019 Ford Figo is most likely slated to launch in India in 2019. Here, are the first spy shots of the updated hatchback testing on the Indian roads.
Ford Figo is due for an update for long now. Because of its outdated cabin, Figo has been garnering hardly any sales for the brand. Last month, it made a mere 116 units, which grew from 65 units in October.
Ford India revealed its plans about the future launches. The list include facelifts of Ford Aspire, Figo, Endeavour and Mustang GT. Endeavour is still laden with features that are enough to make it survive in the segment. Whereas Figo is not.
So, here are the first set of spy pics of the 2019 Ford Figo testing in India. We believe that the updated hatchback might launch by the second quarter of 2019. It will get some cosmetic upgrades and new features onboard.

The spy pics show that 2019 Ford Figo gets a new all-black multi-spoke alloy wheels, taken from Aspire facelift. Also, it will get a revised front grille and updated bumper sets taken from the Aspire.
Feature upgrades will include a new set of headlamps and shark fin antenna. The main changes on the hatchback will be inside the cabin. It will finally receive the much needed update.
Inside the cabin, 2019 Ford Figo is very likely to receive a new touchscreen infotainment system, auto AC, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Rear AC vents and charging USB Slots in the centre.
Safety features now will include dual-front airbags, ABS with EBD, Brake Assist, rear parking sensors as standard fitments. The higher variants will also get a Rear Parking camera combined with the sensors.

Mechanically, it will continue with the same engines, matching the compliance of upcoming BS-6 norms. It comes with a
The petrol engine produces 86 BHP of power and a peak torque of 112 Nm. The diesel engine makes 98 Horsepower and 215 Nm of torque. The petrol-automatic engine makes 110 BHP and 136 Nm of torque.
The petrol and diesel engine pair up with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The powerful petrol engine is specially made for the automatic variant. There are chances of the 2019 variant offering an additonal gear on the diesel one.
There are chances that Ford might offer 2019 Figo with a CNG option too. Earlier this year, a test mule of Figo with CNG badging on the rear was spotted testing.

Ford Figo competes with the likes of Hyundai Grand i10, Maruti Suzuki Swift, Tata Tiago and Honda Brio.
