The update Ford Figo hatchback will get minor cosmetic updates, a completely revised interior, new infotainment system and a new 1.2-litre petrol engine.
The updated Ford Figo hatchback is going to launch in India on the 15th of March this year. This will be the second product launch by the American automaker for the year 2019. The first one being the recently introduced facelift for its flagship SUV in India, the Endeavour. The Ford Figo facelift is going to get some minor cosmetic updates on its exterior while there will be a complete overhaul of its interior design layout. The feature list is also set to improve and there will be an introduction of a new 1.2-litre petrol engine.
All the changes that the 2019 Ford Figo is going to come with are in sync with what we saw on the Ford Aspire facelift last year. Hence, on the exterior front, this hatchback will get revised bumpers, a new front grille, redesigned headlamps and a new set of alloy wheels. The rest of the design elements of the Ford Figo will remain the same as before.

Inside the cabin, expect the hatchback to come with a slightly altered dashboard layout, particularly the area and controls around the central console. Ford is going to introduce an all-new touchscreen infotainment system for the top-spec trims of the 2019 Figo. This system is the same SYNC3 unit which we saw in the Aspire facelift as well. This system is one of the best in the market and supports connectivity through Android Auto and Apple Car Play.
There have been rumours that Ford is going to launch a new ‘Blu’ variant of the 2019 Figo. There have been a number of spy shots of the same as well. Going by that, we can say that this new trim is likely to launch in a single white colour which contrasting black coloured alloy wheels, roof, front grille and outside rearview mirrors.

Just as Ford did with the Aspire and the Freestyle, it will introduce a new 1.2-litre petrol engine in the 2019 Figo facelift as well. This engine is from the automaker’s new Dragon series and is capable of producing 96 BHP of power. Other than this, there will be a 1.5-litre engine on offer as well which is good for producing 123 BHP of power. The diesel engine remains the same at 1.5-litre diesel engine which is good for 100 BHP of power. As standard, both the derivatives will get a 5-speed manual gearbox. While the 1.5-litre petrol engine will be available with a 6-speed torque converter unit.
Currently, the Ford Figo is priced in-between the range of INR 5.59 lakh to INR 7.95 lakh. Expect the automaker to reduce the prices slightly, as it did with the Aspire and Endeavour facelifts.
