2018 TVS Apache RTR 200 4V is one of the latest Apache bikes. Unlike the street-smart look of the earlier Apaches, this one is a bit naked-sport.
Interestingly, TVS has equipped this bike with many racing features, that gives a new title to the bike. The feature list includes clip-on handlebars, ABS, a digital instrument console, Remora racing tires, Splitter Clutch and of course, the muscular sharp body.
Current competition for this naked machine includes the Pulsar NS200, Duke 200, Yamaha FZ 25 and the recently launched, Hero Xtreme 200R. The prices of the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V start from Rs 93,685 and go up to Rs 1.10 Lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi).

One of the latest entry from the Hosur based automaker, the 2018 TVS Apache RTR 200 4V is available at a price of Rs 93,685 (ex-showroom Delhi) for the standard version and Rs 1.10 Lakhs for the Fuel Injection Ethanol ABS.
Compared to the model it replaces, the new one gets dearer by around INR 2,000 for each variant.
For the considerably low price difference, you get additional visual as well as mechanical updates. The company claims that the riders who take their bikes to the track will notice a faster lap time.

Powering the new 2018 TVS Apache RTR 200 4V is the same 197.5 cc single-cylinder engine that makes 20.21 bhp on the carburettor version and 20.71 bp on the EFI variant. The peak torque output remains same on either variant at 18.1 Nm.
The 5-speed gearbox remains unaltered. The new race-derived Anti-Reverse Torque (A-RT) Slipper clutch reduces the operating force by 22 percent while making shifts quicker and reducing wheel-hopping while downshifting aggressively and during cornering.

The 2018 TVS Apache RTR 200 4V is termed as Race Edition 2.0. The Apache facelift features several changes compared to the model it replaces.
Starting with the visual updates, the new Apache features new race-inspired graphics. The red on black combination looks sporty and appealing. The graphics do a great job at highlighting the sharp edges of the refreshed Apache 200.
The front features a new windscreen that makes the bike more aerodynamic while decreasing fatigue for the rider on long rides.

Currently, Apache RTR 200 4V competes mainly with Bajaj Pulsar NS200 and KTM Duke 200.
Pulsar and Duke missed out on some features when compared to Apache. But, Pulsar has almost near pricing, which puts it in good competition.
However, KTM Duke 200 costs around Rs 1.5 Lakhs, which is quite high in comparison. Moreover, Duke is more famous amongst the younger generation, mainly because of its aggressive sound and funky looks.
In terms of features, Apache RTR 200 4V offers the most with a decent pricing range. Others falling in the nearby price range are Honda CBR250R and Yamaha FZ25.
