The Toyota Yaris comes to India with a host of segment first features. This sedan is likely to have 7 airbags as standard across the range. Making it the only mid-size sedan in India with this safety feature.
It seems that Toyota is leaving nothing to chances when it comes to the success of the Yaris sedan in India. With our initial impressions, we believe that this mid-size sedan is going to be the safest in its segment. Furthermore, the company has already revealed that the Yaris is going to have 7-Airbags in its long list of safety features. Now, according to a report published in Motor Octane, these 7-airbags will come as standard across the range. If this information turns out to be true then the Yaris will be comparatively safer as against the likes of Maruti Ciaz, Honda City and the Hyundai Verna.
The Toyota Yaris already has a number of segment first features in its portfolio. Consequently, with 7-airbags as standard across its variant range, this mid-size sedan will emerge as a very tough contender in its segment. The 2018 Yaris made its first public debut at the 2018 Auto Expo. There, the automaker confirmed that it will launch the vehicle in India by May 2018. According to recent media reports, the Yaris will launch in India on 18th May this year.
