This Sedan will be manufactured at the company’s plant in Karnataka. The automaker plans on deploying a high percentage of localized parts to keep the price in check. Powering the 2018 Toyota Yaris is the 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine. The 1.5-litre unit powering this car produces 108 bhp of power and 137 Nm of torque. This engine is a recent introduction. Earlier, the sedan had a 1.3-litre engine at its disposal. On offer will be a 6-speed manual transmission along with a 7-step CVT unit.

Comparing the 2018 Toyota Yaris to its competitors, the Honda City, Hyundai Verna and the Maruti Ciaz The City extends to 4,440mm, Ciaz features a length of 4,490 mm and the Verna gets 4,370 mm. It holds a length of 4,425 which is clearly shorter than most of its rivals. When it comes to the wheelbase, the City features 2,600 mm, Ciaz gets 2,650 and the Verna gets 2,570. The Yaris features a wheelbase of 2,550 mm which is the shortest in the segment. While the Verna is shorter in length, it surprisingly offers better wheelbase than the Toyota.
