2018 Maruti Suzuki Swift is off to a good start in India. The premium compact hatchback from Maruti has garnered over 60,000 bookings since its launch in India.
The 2018 Maruti Suzuki Swift seems to have struck the right chord with the Indian buyers. The latest iteration of this compact premium hatchback has garnered over 60,000 bookings so far. The new Swift was showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo and launched at a starting price of INR 4.99 Lakh. Since its launch two weeks ago, the Swift received 20,000 bookings. The new Swift features a completely revised exterior design. Interior design is also a step-up over the outgoing model. The 2018 Swift is based on Maruti Suzuki’s HEARTECH platform. This makes the car shed 90 kgs, hence improving the hatchback’s fuel efficiency and drivability.
The 2018 Maruti Suzuki Swift comes with features like LED daytime runnings lights, projector headlamps along with LED taillights. Cars which fall in the same segment as the Swift, do not offer these features. This helps in increasing this hatchback’s desirability factor. The new Swift’s cabin comes with features like a touchscreen infotainment system (Smartplay), flat-bottom steering wheel, an all-black colour scheme which provides it with a sporty appeal. Apart from these creature comforts, the new Swift is a lot safer than before. It gets dual-airbags and ABS along with ISOFIX child seat mounts as standard across the range.
