The second generation Maruti Suzuki Ertiga was unveiled today at the Indonesia International Motor Show. The MUV gets major upgrades in terms of exteriors, interiors, and features. It is expected to hit the Indian roads around November 2018. Most of the features unveiled today will be carried forward in the Indian version too.
India’s LUV or ‘Love Utility Vehicle’ gets a second generation model. 2018 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga was unveiled at the IIMS with a major facelift. The details of the car were leaked recently online. The car gets an increased ground clearance with plush interiors. It will come in a choice of 7 colours of Gray, Brown, Silver, Black, White, Burgundy and Red. The proportions look much like those of its predecessor, but its design is more appealing. The car is expected to hit the Indian roads by end of 2018. New Ertiga is based on Maruti Suzuki’s new HEARTECT design platform.
At the front, the new Ertiga features a new hexagonal chrome grille flanked by sleek projector headlamps. It also gets a more dynamically designed bumper, revised lower grille and a resculpted hood. The front fascia grille is different from the new Swift and Dzire. Also, the looks of the car are different than the new design scheme followed in new Dzire. The car now sports some muscle trails too. The car looks bigger than the earlier Ertiga, mainly because of its extension beyond the C-Pillar.

The rear body of Ertiga also gets a facelift. In the rear, it is given a forward leaning angle with a sporty tailgate and bumper design. Lately, a lot of their cars came with model names written on the chrome strip. Also, the L-shaped LED tail lights look fancier than the older Ertiga.
Interior design includes a wood finish dashboard, similar to the new Dzire. The car gets beige interiors with a flat-bottomed steering wheel and door handles. The new instrument panel has a sportier design for the dials of the speedometer and tachometer. Also, the car gets a start-stop button, which will mostly come in the top end variant.

The new Maruti Ertiga offers more space and features on the inside. Also, ABS with two airbags will be a standard fitting and will come in all variants.
